3) The temperature of a switchgear unit’s enclosure is an essential factor when performing its servicing and maintenance, especially if it has a large amount of current flowing through it. A section can reach temperatures as high as 150 degrees Celsius (or 300 degrees Fahrenheit), which can cause severe burns to the skin in just seconds!
A qualified electrician should inspect these units at least twice per year, once in winter and once again in summer.
