Every year more than 5 lakhs of students apply for JEE Mains exams. The popularity of pursuing Engineering after school is growing exponentially and so is the competition. You will find many colleges offering engineering courses to the students just after class 12. The competition is not about getting just any degree. It’s about getting the best college possible. There are more Engineering colleges than schools in India and getting placement just after you have passed your graduation in these colleges is difficult because of the quality of education they’re providing. It’s the brand that matters, the name tag that gets attached to the certificate and these important exams do attract a lot of students. So we are going to talk, how to prepare for this important exam that almost every parent wants their child to clear.
1) Know the syllabus
Knowing the syllabus is the first and the most important thing to do because it helps you to know which chapters to study. This is the moment we have been waiting for and the questions in JEE exams come from the portions of class 11 and class 12. Exams like JEE need a minimum of two years of preparation that is why many students start from class 11. Preparing two things at the same time is also not easy, hence a lot of students even take a year drop or so while preparing for the exam. So knowing the syllabus helps you to understand how much time to give and to which topics.
2) Know the weightage of every topic
The timetable that you prepare after knowing the syllabus is the most important thing ever because the timetable decides where you reach after 2 years. Knowing the weightage of every topic helps to distribute the Study time. Here is the weightage of every topic in the syllabus.

3) Prepare the previous year question paper
Previous year question papers are important for a student’s performance. Previous year question papers give you an idea about the difficulty level and question pattern too. If a kid prepares the last 10 years of question paper and JEE Main 2019 Paper with Solution then the chances of him doing well in the exam automatically increase. There is also a high probability that you will find similar questions that you have already prepared. Few sample papers also mark questions like very important and very very important. Keep a tag on those questions as well. Chances are more that you will get a similar pattern question in the exam
4) Revision
You should revise as much as you can. A student should do all types of question papers. The more a student solves, they get acquainted with the question pattern. Students should revise every time they finish one chapter, this will help them to revise and practice. Students who are preparing for the first time for JEE should make notes as they study. This will help them to keep a track of your progress. The more chapters you cover the more notes you have. keep your notes neat and clean and tidy and to the point. Don’t mention unnecessary things while making notes, the more you add points there, the more confusing it becomes.
5) Stay healthy
Every second is important while preparing for JEE Mains and it is important for the students to stay healthy and eat well, if the students stay healthy and eat well the chances of staying fit and preparing well increase. It is recommended for the students to have a balanced diet. A proper diet is considered to be the best way to stay healthy. Not only staying healthy is important, but staying away from all the other distractions is also important. Don’t use your phone unnecessarily because they will do more bad than good.
If you follow all the above steps then it will be easier to crack JEE mains in no time.
